What’s happening in web3
Given the bear market, it’s nice to hear from OGs in the space. Pantera capital was the first ever crypto fund in the USA. Here’s an interesting thread from the origins of the fund.
Reddit is launching an NFT avatar marketplace on Polygon. Interestingly, they’ve stayed away from the term “NFT” and refer to it as digital collectibles instead.
The Ethereum merge is one step closer. There are 3 test environments where the merge will be tested. Two of those have been completed successfully.
Aave is launching a stablecoin.
Robinhood users can now send and receive Bitcoin from their account.
A few months ago, Axie Infinity was hacked and $600 million was stolen. This week, details emerged of how the hack took place. Hackers duped a senior engineer by offering him a job.
Voyager, a CeFi platform, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Customers who deposited funds with Voyager will receive a mix of crypto, proceeds from 3AC, Voyager tokens and shares.
The makers of USDC launched a new stable coin denominated in Euros.
Aztec launched as a privacy-focussed DeFi protocol. Check out the thread below for more details.
